A loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was entrusted to God’s care on Monday, Oct. 9, 2006/>. She was 91, a resident of Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs and a former resident of Baton Rouge/>/>and Zachary. She was a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, with 25 years of service. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Huey Moak. Interment will be inGreenoaks/>

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Murray and husband Harry of Zachary; a sister, Ruth Richardson and husband Louis of Walker; seven grandchildren, Jerry Rutherford of Cherryville, N.C., David Edmonson of Jackson, Miss., Steve Edmonson and Tara Fayaz, both of Miami, Judy Humble of Zachary, and Linda Richard and Lisa Cange, both of Seabrook, Texas; nine great-grandchildren, Lili, Bryce and Bijan Fayaz and Mia Edmonson, all of Miami, Blake and Maddie Edmonson of Jackson, Alexander Cange and Dustin and Lindsey Richard, all of Seabrook; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, George “Dutch” Edmonson; son, Gene Edmonson; daughter, Bobby Jane Edmonson; great-grandson, Brodie Alford; parents, Lutie and Robert Haddox Sr.; two brothers, Robert Jr. and Ellis Haddox; and a sister, Sally Turner. Pallbearers will be Pete Humble, Steve Cange, Bobby Haddox, Jerry Rutherford, and David and Steve Edmonson. She was a beautiful lady with a sharp wit, a great sense of humor and a dignified confidence. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
