Born in White City, AL, on July 26, 1930, Corine entered eternal life on July 23, 2018. A resident of Baton Rouge for most of her 88 years, she lived for many years in Florien, LA, on Toledo Bend Lake with her beloved husband Charles Ray LeClercq. They had nearly 56 wonderful years together, until his death in 2006. She is also pre-deceased by her son, John Arthur G. LeClercq, parents Oralee and Samuel King Pruet, sister Gaynell Curtis, and brother Samuel A. Pruet. Corine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia (Cindy) and Don Ristroph, grandchildren Carly Broussard and husband Casey, Eric Ristroph, and Kurt Ristroph, and great-grandchildren Lucy, David, Meredith, and Philip Broussard. Also survived by her sister Dorothy (Dot) Cambre, sister-in-law Ethel Pruet, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Corine’s strong Catholic faith sustained her through the years, particularly during the most difficult times after John’s and Charles Ray’s deaths, and during her battles with cancer pain this year. Always active in her local church parishes, she was an Altar Society member for as long as she was able. Family was primary in Corine’s life, as evidenced by her hobby of genealogy for years before it became popular. She and Charles Ray graciously hosted family and friends at Toledo Bend, generously sharing their home, fish, and garden produce with everyone. Funeral services on Saturday, July 28, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge, LA, beginning with a rosary at 9:00 AM. Visitation continuing until funeral Mass at 11:30 AM, celebrated by Fr. Randy Cuevas. Those unable to participate in the community rosary are invited to offer private prayers in her honor. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Cemetery in Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic schools or missions or cancer research are requested. Special thanks extended to Dr. Gerald Miletello, Corine’s sitters from TLC Home Companion Care, and all those affiliated with Hospice of Baton Rouge. We will forever remember and be grateful for your exceptional care and kindness during her final months. God bless you.
